Restaurant Ordering Platforms
Development, leadership, deployment, maintenance, and support of Laravel/TastyIgniter ordering systems for restaurant and takeaway businesses.
Project overview
This work involved restaurant ordering platforms that supported online menus, product options and modifiers, checkout, card payments, delivery and collection workflows, opening hours, location-specific ordering, restaurant administration, responsive customer experiences, and operational support.
The projects combined reusable Laravel/TastyIgniter foundations with restaurant-specific customization, production deployment, troubleshooting, and ongoing maintenance.
Reusable platform, individualized delivery
The core ordering system used a reusable Laravel and TastyIgniter foundation, so new restaurant websites were not necessarily rebuilt from the beginning each time.
The shared foundation supported menus, checkout, payment integrations, delivery, collection, opening hours, administration, and customer accounts. Each launch still required restaurant-specific configuration, branding, menu setup, workflow decisions, testing, domain and SSL preparation, email setup, and production verification.
Standardization made it possible to complete straightforward launches efficiently while preserving repeatable quality-control steps and room for restaurant-specific operating needs.

The challenge
Restaurant and takeaway businesses needed reliable ordering systems that could be customized for individual operations while still using reusable architecture, consistent delivery practices, and maintainable support processes.
My role
I worked across requirements analysis, full-stack development, database design, technical leadership, team coordination, code review, deployment, client communication, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
The work included a mix of personally developed features, team-led delivery, restaurant-specific customization, migration, support, and long-term platform maintenance.
Approach and implementation
- Used reusable TastyIgniter and Laravel foundations to keep common ordering workflows consistent.
- Adapted branding, menu behavior, ordering rules, and administration workflows to each restaurant context.
- Implemented PHP, MySQL, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, payment integrations, and third-party API connections.
- Supported testing, deployment, production troubleshooting, and repeatable maintenance procedures.
